The SB28 cabinet is the ideal subwoofer match for systems like K1, KUDO®, V-DOSC®, and ARCS®, extending the system's operational range to a low 25 Hz. Housing two 18-inch direct-radiating low-frequency transducers, the SB28 is structured with a bass-reflex tuned design. These specially crafted 18-inch transducers offer remarkable cone movement abilities, maintaining low thermal compression even under intense operation. Its uniquely profiled bass-reflex vents ensure smooth airflow. Thanks to these modern components and updated vents, there's a notable +5 dB peak SPL enhancement compared to prior models. The SB28's amplification and control are streamlined by the LA8 platform. This includes detailed DSP filtering, featuring advanced crossover capabilities, system equalization, and the L-DRIVE, which safeguards against thermal and over-excursion issues. The L-ACOUSTICS® LA8 amplified controller provides:

• A "standard" mode when paired with K1, KUDO®, V-DOSC®, and ARCS®, using a 60 Hz low-pass filter ([SB28_60] preset) or when paired specifically with ARCS® using a 100 Hz filter ([SB28_100] preset).

• A "cardioid" mode, compatible with K1, KUDO®, V-DOSC®, and ARCS®, employing a 60 Hz low-pass filter ([SB28_60_C] preset) or, when tightly integrated with ARCS®, using a 100 Hz filter ([SB28_100_C] preset).
