The sleek Y8 line array speaker is crafted for vertical column installations. Its 2-way passive architecture incorporates twin 8” drivers in a dipole setup, along with a central 1.4” compression driver equipped with a wave transformer. The intricate design of the horn, paired with a cutting-edge bass-reflex port, provides comprehensive bandwidth performance and augmented low-frequency output. These top-tier line array units grant 80° of horizontal directionality, maintained down to 500 Hz. They support vertical stacking of up to twenty-four speakers, adjustable from 0° to 14° in 1° intervals. While they can stand alone, Y8s also mesh seamlessly with Y12 and Y-SUB units. Built from durable marine plywood, the speaker cabinet is fortified with a weather-resistant PCP (Polyurea Cabinet Protection) coat. A sturdy metal grille, cushioned by sound-permeable foam, shields the front. Both sides feature handles, and the back panel offers two inset grips for easy handling. Moreover, the enclosure is fitted with a three-point rigging mechanism for mounting.
