The KSL12 line array module delivers a consistent 120° horizontal directivity pattern throughout its full bandwidth. This unit is equipped with two 10" neodymium LF drivers facing forward and two 8" neodymium LF drivers directed to the side. Its coaxial mid-high compartment houses an MF horn with an 8" driver, complemented by two 1.4" exit HF compression drivers with a 3" voice coil, all mounted on a specialized wave shaping instrument.
Thanks to the SL-Series' innovative flying hardware, users benefit from a patented rigging system that combines both tension and compression functionalities. This system facilitates cabinet splay angles ranging from 0° to 10°, adjustable in 1° steps. The speakers actively receive power through two distinct channels from a suitable d&b amplifier: one dedicated to the 10" LF drivers and the other serving all remaining components, which utilize a passive crossover mechanism. This structured design ensures a harmonious crossover transition, creating a uniform and precise horizontal sound spread.
The strategic placement of the forward and side-firing LF drivers guarantees impeccable directionality, spanning from the speaker's deepest frequency outputs to frequencies exceeding 18 kHz. Adding to its versatility, the KSL12 offers the choice to connect two cabinets in either Line or Arc configurations, ideal for setups where smaller arrays are preferred or ArrayProcessing isn't essential.
Structurally, these cabinets are crafted from marine-grade plywood, safeguarded by a durable and weather-resistant PCP (Polyurea Cabinet Protection) coating. Both the front and sides feature sturdy metal grates, backed with a sound-permeable and water-resistant fabric. For ease of handling, each side is fitted with a sunken grip, supplemented by extra handles at the back.
