On the solutions 3G Productions provided:
3G Productions was responsible for providing lighting, rigging, and automation for this tour. Our team delivered a custom-configured Walberg winch system to operate the Austrian-style curtain, as well as several key automated scenic elements throughout the show. These solutions played a crucial role in achieving the fluid, theatrical transitions and dynamic stage effects envisioned by the creative team.
This project came together quickly toward the end, with gear being prepped even as final scenic decisions were still being made. One of the biggest challenges was adapting on the fly, especially as some scenic elements required integrated lighting components at the last minute.
We worked closely with production management and the incredibly creative team at Lightswitch to bring everything together into the stunning visual experience you see on tour today. 3G’s multiple West Coast locations played a key role in efficiently moving gear where it was needed, kudos to production management for creating a production schedule that allowed for ample rehearsal time to ensure everything was dialed in before opening night.
For this scenically rich performance, the opening act establishes a dramatic, theatrical mood—true to the artistic vision of the show. What makes our solution stand out is the seamless transition into a high-energy rock-and-roll atmosphere, all while using the same core equipment. A key highlight is the use of an Austrian-style curtain, which opens with striking elegance thanks to the Walberg Kevlar 25 winch and Kevlar cable. This winch provides superior strength with a narrow drum profile, and the softer Kevlar cable ensures smoother, more controlled movement compared to traditional steel alternatives. We also employed the Winch 50 prop rig to lift the stunning moon and sun scenic elements, delivering both visual impact and reliable performance throughout the show.
Working with the creative team at Lightswitch has been an absolute pleasure. They bring a unique and refreshing perspective to the touring market, grounded in years of experience across virtually every type of live event—from corporate and film to theatre and touring. That depth and range made them an invaluable asset in shaping the design of this imaginative and highly stylized production.
John Featherstone is a true icon in the creative world and a longtime industry friend. Getting the chance to collaborate and support someone you respect—especially on a project of this caliber—is always a privilege. Iggy Rosenberg was also an incredible partner throughout the process. Watching his work during rehearsals—his programming finesse, his collaboration with the artist and management, and the way every adjustment elevated the show—I was truly marveled watching his process.
The production and artist management teams were deeply involved in every facet of the tour, including the creative. That made for an especially collaborative atmosphere. Our role at 3G was to support the vision, remain adaptable, and ensure any last-minute changes were executed smoothly and efficiently.
I’ve had the privilege of supporting Halsey as a lighting vendor for the past 10 years, and witnessing the evolution of her live performances firsthand has been nothing short of remarkable. She’s an exceptionally artistic and dynamic performer, and it’s been inspiring to be a part of that journey.
Working with the same management team over the past decade has built a strong foundation of trust and understanding. That familiarity with how they operate, what they expect, and how to adapt to their needs made 3G a natural choice to support this tour.
Beyond our long-standing relationship, 3G offered the full suite of services required—from lighting and rigging to automation—combined with a strong West Coast presence that helped streamline logistics. Just as importantly, they knew they would receive dedicated support and the high level of service that 3G is known for. That combination of experience, capability, and commitment made us the right partner for this production.
